Deke talks about some sweeeet potato pie and some crafty happenings at Graystone.

As I'm writing this, it is Friday the 13th.  I heard on the radio this morning that in order to have good luck today you should kiss a cat.  WHAT!!  Nope, not me…  I'm not getting anywhere near a cat!  I'll just have to risk the bad luck.

Have you been to SWAG lately?  Well… you should come on out!  The food has been wonderful, and I heard Earl say that was the best sweet potato pie he'd ever eaten.  In April, Gene told stories, and referenced some bible verses, and explained how they related to our daily lives.  Now, while Gene was busy doing this, everyone else was lining up to "help" hold baby Grace.  Isn't she a little sweetheart?  The next SWAG is May 9.

The crafters got together on the 23rd and that happened to be The Queen's birthday.  They celebrated by wearing hats and tiaras, and having scones with clotted crème.  Yumm!

It's been kinda quite 'round here with Rev. Gloria off on her trip to Africa.  But it's given me a chance to rest up from all the fun stuff we've done; and to get ready for all the fun stuff coming up.

Get ready, summer will be here soon!

Deke
